Cosmetic Dentistry

  • Anti-Aging Dental Techniques

Dr. Brit Phillips specializes in Anti-Aging Dentistry. When Dr. Phillips does an Anti-Aging dental consultation, he looks at every aspect of your face, not simply your bite or the color of your teeth. Changing the shape, size or depth or your teeth with implants, crowns, and veneers can smooth your jaw line and wrinkles around your mouth and make your lips appear fuller, or balance the appearance of your smile without cosmetic surgery.
  • Dentures

    1. Economy Dentures – Economy dentures are designed to be inexpensive, forfeiting both fit and appearance for a lower cost. Because they are not highly customized and can be completed quickly, this accounts for their often very poor fit. 2. Traditional Dentures – Traditional dentures are the most widely used dentures. They look good, but they often lack in the functional department. These dentures tend to click and slip during both talking and eating. More importantly, they do not stimulate the jawbone like natural teeth, resulting in loss of bone mass. 3. Neuromuscular, Cosmetic Dentures – This is the true “anti-aging” denture. Although the cosmetic dentures are more expensive, the superior fit, function, and aesthetics are worth the additional cost. The results may even truly make people think that you’ve had a facelift!
  • Dental Implants

Dental implants are bridges that are permanently anchored into the jaw. Because there is always a perfect fit, implants are almost the same as having your natural teeth back again. To qualify for implants, you’ll need healthy oral tissues and jawbone ridges that are in good shape. If you’re suffering from tooth loss, talk with Dr. Phillips about whether there is another option for you.
  • Invisalign

Invisalign straightens your teeth with a series of clear, virtually invisible custom molded aligners. Only dentists, like Dr. Phillips, who have been certified and underwent extensive training by Invisalign are allowed to perform the treatment on patients. Have the smile you’ve always wanted — without the hassle of braces.
  • Porcelain Crowns

When the size of a “filling” exceeds a certain proportion of the tooth, it must be replaced with a “crown,” which look and function just like natural teeth. Dr. Phillips may recommend a crown if your tooth has enough decay that it cannot hold a filling, or if your tooth is cracked or broken and in danger of cracking down into the root if left unattended. A crown covers your tooth completely. It fits snugly at the gum and protects what remains of the natural tooth. Dr. Phillips uses porcelain crowns that look very natural and don’t have a dark metal line at the gum. Porcelain crowns, when performed correctly using the latest materials and most up to date procedures are natural looking. The untrained eye can barely notice a different between a porcelain crown and your own natural tooth. Dr. Phillips extensive training makes him uniquely qualified to give you the most up to date, natural looking crowns.
  • Porcelain Veneers

Today at Brit Phillips DDS PA we have exciting new biomaterials that can give your smile a lift without invasive treatments.Dr. Phillips uses ultra-thin porcelain veneers to correct chipped, weakened, or discolored teeth. No more yellow. No more gaps or embarrassing chips. And Dr. Phillips’ veneers can return real structural integrity to damaged teeth, while leaving them looking as good (in many cases better) than the originals.
  • Teeth Whitening

Dr. Phillips can treat discolored, stained or aging teeth with state of the art teeth whitening. The treatment can be completed in just over an hour in our office, or you can choose at-home treatments. Lighten discolorations caused by coffee, cigarettes, medication, or aging. You’ll notice the difference immediately…and so will everyone else.
  • Denture Facial Rejuvenation

With time the area between the nose and the chin decreases in height due to the loss and/or the wearing down of teeth. Dr. Phillips has discovered that this is one of the key factors causing facial aging. Just envision a person who has lost their teeth and you can imagine what a difference this can make in lower facial height. Missing and ground down teeth result in the collapsed appearance around the mouth which causes vertical lines all around the mouth. The effects don’t stop there either because the tension on the skin of the face becomes slackened and the entire face is effected.
  • Dental Implant Dentistry

Technology is advancing so quickly in the area of implant dentistry that we can now virtually copy nature. Dr. Brit Phillips can get you back the teeth you were meant to have. Dental implants are an ideal option for people who have lost one tooth or several teeth. The implant is a biocompatible titanium screw that looks very similar to the root of a tooth, which is placed in the jawbone. The bone engages the implant, and then a crown is connected to the implant. The result is a tooth that feels and looks exactly like a natural tooth, and patients cannot tell that it is not their real tooth. Due to the strength and permanence of this procedure, the result is not just cosmetic, but also highly functional.
  • Restorative Dentistry

Restorative Dentistry refers to the restoration of natural teeth that have been damaged, decayed, lost and/or the restoration of old dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, and fillings. Once your dentist has examined your teeth and has evaluated your dental and medical history, they will be ready to provide a diagnosis and treatment options. Dr. Phillips uses numerous methods to conservatively restore your teeth and help you obtain optimal oral health.

I came from a great dentist of 40 years who retired and so I took my time checking dentists. I was referred to Dr. Phillips by my excellent oral surgeon and what a surprise to find out my retired dentist goes to him also! I know why - he works with you one on one, he does not have a whole office full of patients - he only has you. He is very kind and gentle (right a GENTLE dentist - go figure), explains everything and worked with me on my plan - one slow step at a time! He listened to my concerns and made great suggestions and understood about watching the cost factor. They have a clean, beautiful office and the staff greats you by name, remembers things you have discussed and are quick to call you if needed. They all work together as a team as well as friends. Hey, this is the place you have been looking for if you want professional, leading edge, personal service from your dentist. Love you guys, thank you for taking me in! Yvonne

I have been a patient of Dr. Brit Phillips for over a decade. He’s my dentist for life, this is even with me living in Austin since 2008. He performed a complete restoration in 2007 which has proven to be an outstanding investment in my quality of life. I no longer have pain and I get frequent compliments on my smile! Besides being very professional, he and his staff are extremely friendly. I would highly recommend him for all dental needs.
